Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Winpost ("Winpost", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the Winpost mobile application and related services.

Pseudonymous analytics are optional. Winpost only sends the optional analytics described below after you choose to allow pseudonymous analytics. You can turn them off at any time from Winpost's Privacy settings. Declining analytics does not prevent you from using the normal features of Winpost or Winpost Plus.

1. Information we collect

Moderator account information

Email addresses and authentication information may be processed for authorized moderator or administrative accounts used to access protected Winpost moderation functionality. Normal users do not need a Winpost account.

User submissions and reports

If you submit a giveaway, report content, or send other information through features provided by Winpost, we may process the information you choose to provide, such as giveaway URLs, optional titles or notes, report reasons, and related submission content. Giveaway submissions may also use a pseudonymous installation identifier for duplicate prevention, abuse prevention, and service integrity.

Notifications and device functionality

Winpost may process push notification tokens and related notification settings when needed to deliver notifications you request, such as giveaway reminders, creator alerts, featured alerts, or moderator notifications. Winpost does not use these tokens for advertising tracking.

Optional recommended notifications

If you separately allow recommendations based on activity and notifications, Winpost uses giveaway opens and saves to derive up to three preferred categories on your device. These category interests are sent with push preferences to choose relevant giveaways. The analytics identifier is not used to link your analytics history to your push token. You can withdraw recommendation consent through Winpost’s privacy controls or disable notifications in iOS Settings.

Purchase information

If you subscribe to Winpost Plus, Winpost may process subscription product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase or restore events, and related subscription information to provide paid functionality and understand subscription performance. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Winpost does not receive your full payment card details.

Preferences used to operate the app

Winpost processes preferences needed to operate and personalize supported parts of the app, such as catalog country, whether Worldwide giveaways are included with that country, app language, light or dark appearance, followed creators, notification preferences, saved giveaways, reminders, and Winpost Plus entitlement status. Some preferences are stored only on your device, while information needed for server-backed functionality may be sent to Winpost's backend.

Optional pseudonymous usage analytics

If you choose to allow pseudonymous analytics, Winpost may collect product-interaction and usage information such as:

  • App sessions, active usage time, session duration, and recent activity used to estimate how many opted-in users are currently active.
  • Which Winpost tabs or features are opened and used.
  • Giveaway detail opens, saves and unsaves, participation-state changes, reports, and reminder creation or removal.
  • When an original giveaway link is opened, including the Winpost giveaway involved, the source position, and the destination platform category. Winpost does not collect what you do after leaving Winpost.
  • Paywall opens, subscription purchase attempts, successful purchases, restore events, and simulated subscription-state changes when Winpost is operating in test mode.
  • Creator follow or unfollow actions and featured-alert activation or deactivation.
  • Catalog country, whether Worldwide is enabled with that country, Winpost language, effective light or dark appearance, and Free or Plus status.
  • App version and build number for analytics reliability.

For this analytics system, Winpost does not intentionally send your name, email address, precise location, date of birth, text you type, clipboard contents, screenshot contents, IDFA, or a stable advertising identifier.

Analytics use a random pseudonymous identifier stored per app installation. It remains stable across days so that usage from the same installation is not counted as a new installation every day. It is not your name, email address, account ID, push token or advertising identifier. An audience classification (user, tester or moderator) keeps staff activity separate; retained records for that installation follow its current classification. Reports are aggregated, but the underlying records are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain and improve Winpost features.
  • Authenticate authorized moderator accounts.
  • Process giveaway submissions and reports.
  • Deliver requested notifications and reminders.
  • Personalize supported parts of the app.
  • Verify and maintain subscription access.
  • Measure audience size, feature usage, engagement and subscription performance when pseudonymous analytics have been enabled.
  • Understand which giveaways and app features are useful so we can improve Winpost.
  • Protect Winpost from abuse, fraud, duplicate submissions or unauthorized access.
  • Support users and maintain service reliability.

3. Analytics consent and controls

Pseudonymous usage analytics are disabled unless you choose to allow them. If you decline, Winpost continues to operate normally without sending optional analytics events.

You can withdraw your analytics consent at any time from the Privacy section inside Winpost. After analytics are disabled, Winpost stops sending new optional analytics events and heartbeats from that device.

Disabling analytics also removes the local analytics identifier. If you enable analytics again, a new identifier is created. Disabling analytics does not automatically delete previously stored server records, which remain subject to retention limits. Older app versions used daily identifiers; those historical records cannot reliably be merged into one installation.

4. Third-party service providers

Winpost relies on service providers that may process information on our behalf in order to operate the app.

  • Supabase may be used for backend infrastructure, authentication, database storage, analytics storage, and server-side functionality.
  • Apple provides App Store purchases, StoreKit, Apple Push Notification service functionality, and other iOS platform services.
  • Winpost may open or reference content hosted on third-party platforms or websites such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and giveaway organizers' websites. Once you open an external service, that service's own privacy policy and terms apply.

5. Advertising and tracking

Winpost does not use the information described in this policy for cross-company advertising tracking, does not sell personal information to data brokers, and does not use pseudonymous analytics to create targeted advertising profiles.

Winpost does not use IDFA for the analytics system described above and does not combine Winpost analytics with data from other companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement.

6. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate Winpost, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.

Raw pseudonymous analytics session and event records are retained for a maximum of approximately 90 days and may be deleted sooner. Aggregated statistics that no longer reasonably identify or single out an individual may be retained for longer for product planning and historical analysis.

User submissions, moderation records, account information, and security-related records may be retained for different periods when necessary to operate or protect the service or comply with legal obligations.

7. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled by Winpost, including access controls for moderator-only analytics and moderation functionality. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and requests

You can disable pseudonymous analytics in Winpost's Privacy settings, change supported app preferences inside Winpost, and manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information that can reasonably be associated with you, contact winpostapp@gmail.com. Analytics records are not indexed by your name or email. We may need additional information to locate records associated with your installation; please do not send passwords or private access codes.

9. Children

Winpost is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Giveaway eligibility, including age restrictions, is determined by each giveaway organizer and its official rules. If you enable age filtering, an age in years may be sent with notification preferences to avoid sending ineligible giveaways. Your full date of birth is not included in usage analytics.

10. International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, depending on the infrastructure and service providers used by Winpost.

11. External giveaway content

Winpost is a discovery and organization service for promotional opportunities operated by independent third parties. Winpost does not accept entries for or select winners of the third-party giveaways referenced in the app. Participation occurs through the organizer's external service and is governed by that organizer's rules and privacy practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Winpost changes. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.

13. Contact
